The end of summer break is finally here. Very bittersweet! Here are the last moments of summer:

Danielle came over! You can always tell who your best friends are when you can hang out together as if it hasn't been over a year since the last time you saw each other. I love this girl! We always have so much fun together! Poor Jr hid away in our bedroom with the computer to avoid the craziness that is Danielle and I! We caught up, remade old pictures and cooked (our new favorite hobby together) some eggs for dinner. Then we played Phase 10 with Jr until late into the night.
Next was Courtney's bridal shower! My co-teacher is getting married October 12th and I'm one of her bridesmaids. Speaking of people I just love, she is definitely on that list. I'm lucky to have such an awesome co-teacher! Her family and maids of honors put it together and I got to help with some games. It was a blast!

Right after the shower, Jr, Megan, Dustin, Deena (my aunt) and her friend Brian and I all went on a triple date. So fun! Deena and Brian had the awesome idea of doing a scavenger hunt and then making homemade ice cream.

We did the scavenger hunt down by the river and had a blast! We flagged down random people to ask them if we could take pictures of them, or their stuff. Afterwards, we sat down and showed each other what we took pictures of. As we sat there, and the sun went down, suddenly we noticed bats randomly flying out of the underbelly of the bridge we were sitting next to. Jr went to go check it out and found a crack in the bottom of the bridge that had TONS of bats hiding in it.

| Here's a few bats in the crack. This is after most of them had flown out. Yikes! |
Now, it's back to school. This semester I'll still be working full time at Phoenix Schools with my sweet and sassy two year olds. I have two classes at ARC (History and Math), and one at FLC (Early Childhood Education) with a total of 11 units. The classes all seem really fun, although I'm nervous about the ECE class, because it requires an internship at an Elementary school which I will have to try to fit in on my lunch breaks. It should be really fun though. Jr is waitlisted in a Chemistry class at Sac State, and is crossing his fingers that he can get in. With Sac States budget cuts, getting into the classes that you need is becoming much more difficult, to Jr's frustration. He will also be working at Office Depot in the tech department this semester.
With my crazy schedule this semester, Jr and I decided we needed to shift a few responsibilities. He will now be completely in charge of planning and preparing meals this semester! I don't know why we haven't done this previously, because he is actually an amazing cook. I look forward to being spoiled by his cooking!
Wish us both luck this semester!
