Corn Maze!

Another bucket list item can be crossed off (well sort of...) for Dustin, Megan, Jr and I. We finally went to the Corn Maze in Dixon! What a blast! The reason I say sort of though is because we only really got to go to half of the corn maze, because unfortunately this year there was a lot of wind damage and half of the maze had been blown over. It was still fun though. But we decided, we're definitely going to have to go again next year when it's fully functioning. Here are some fun pictures!

Jr, stop hitting Megan!

My new favorite Halloween picture. Cute buns and pumpkins ;)

With so much corn blown down, Jr found an ear of corn and took off all the kernels...which he promptly used to throw at people in pure Jr fashion :)

We all took turns giving her rides

The only reason he's smiling is because he's putting corn kernels down my shirt...

Megan and I found it odd that they looked so much cuter together than they did with us...

Jr's turn!

Dustin takes horseback riding very seriously...

Run away!

After picking out pumpkins we went on a hay ride!

October

I know October isn't over yet, but we've already done quite a bit this October, and since I have a chance to blog right now, I'm going to! I also failed to mention Courtney's bachelorette party! The theme was feathers and bling, so we all got blinged out and went to Cheesecake Factory. Then we went back to her condo and played some party games. At some point during the night, we got on Chat Roulette and then starting singing Call Me Maybe to the people on the other end. Too much fun!

October started out with celebrating Cassidy's 21st birthday! We went to her house and she made some delicious potato soup (it was her idea!) and enjoyed each other's company. We gave Dallin his overdue birthday present and then Cassidy opened her presents!

What a bunch of nuts! :) The Tuesday after this, Jr and I desperately needed a date, so we went to the park, which turned into climbing trees. I'm pleased to say, I went as high as he did! :)

And then, FINALLY, came Courtney's wedding!!!! Perfection doesn't even begin to describe it! It was absolutely gorgeous, and so much fun! We danced the night away! Courtney and Dan are an amazing couple, and you know they're just destined for a life of happiness. :)
Me with make-up and hair done! Weird...
The girls!
And last but not least, after almost 4 years of having only one car, we finally got a second car! And it's brand new!!! We are officially the proud owners of a 2012 Honda Civic. To exemplify how sweet my husband is, we originally planned to make the second car be his. We had planned on getting something used. But when we got the new car, it came with Roadside assistance and other goodies, and Jr told me this car would be mine, because he wanted to make sure I was always safe. What a sweetheart! Now Cleo (our Accord) has a buddy, whom we've named Murphy (because when you lock the car twice and it honks it sounds like "Merp!").

September

I told you things would get busy once school started! This is the first weekend I have had no obligations and some free time! So let's catch up! Unfortunately, Jr wasn't able to get into the class he was waitlisted on, but he's getting more hours at work and he has stepped in to make a wonderful house husband! I was nervous the first month, because in general I've been in charge of all the house duties (laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking). Granted, he has ALWAYS helped with these things. But this is the first time he's been on his own doing this. I don't know why I was nervous really, because he is amazing at anything he puts his mind to. The first month, we ate like kings. He kept within the food budget and made some amazing food (he made a new stew recipe that was better than any I've ever had!). He kept everything clean and laundered. He's just amazing, period.
I've been trying hard to keep up with my classes. It can get hard sometimes, because I never feel like I have enough time, but it's all worked out so far. On top of that, every other weekend I babysit overnight for a new family I was referred to by one of my school families. They are sweet as can be, and I am really enjoying getting to know their fun little family! As far as the fun stuff goes, here are a few highlights!

Dustin, Megan and I went to Sunsplash! Jr had to work (that's his excuse. He wouldn't have gone even if he wasn't working. He's not a water fan whatsoever!), but Dustin, Megan and I have been trying to go to Sunsplash for the last 3 summers, so we were excited to actually do it! We met some fun friends while there and went to Big Spoon afterwards. Dustin and I tried the new Double Dare which was not as scary as we expected!

Then, my birthday! I really should've written everything down, because I think I forgot a few of the details...so I'll just write what I remember off the top of my head. Jr took me to Benihana's the Friday before my birthday, because he's always wanted to take me there. We sat with a fun group of people and ate some yummy food. Next time, I'm bringing my own group of fun people though! I didn't realize you had to sit with other people! Saturday, Megan and Dustin took me to TGIFridays, where we ended up paying only $15 for the three of us, because for some reason the service was slow (which we didn't mind) and they felt horrible, so they gave us a discount. Then, the day of my birthday, Jr asked if we could go to Dustin and Megan's to go wash our comforter. To my knowledge, we were just planning on staying home and enjoying each other. So I said we might as well wash the comforter so we don't have to worry about it later. We went and hung out for a little bit, and then one by one, my family started showing up! To top that off, he got me an ice cream cake, which I've wanted since I was little! It's hard to beat that. A surprise party with my favorite people and ice cream cake! I'd say he kicked butt this birthday! To top it off, he gave me a shopping spree for my birthday present!

Two weekends after that, Megan, Cassidy and I went to El Dorado County's Teddy Bear Picnic for Ayla. This was Ayla's second year and she got a cute little teddy bear, and got to pet some fun animals!

"I don't know about you, bear..."

Somebody loves her mama!
After that, Megan and I went shopping. She needed a new dress because she was going to Vegas, so we went together and had fun trying on millions of dresses. This is something I suggest to all females! What a blast! It was fun getting dolled up!

The next weekend was Folsom Live! That's another thing that had been on our bucket list. Jr, per usual, got scheduled a pooey shift and couldn't go, so it was just Megan, Dustin and I. But we danced our butts off and had a blast!

Anyways...that was our September!
