I told you things would get busy once school started! This is the first weekend I have had no obligations and some free time! So let's catch up! Unfortunately, Jr wasn't able to get into the class he was waitlisted on, but he's getting more hours at work and he has stepped in to make a wonderful house husband! I was nervous the first month, because in general I've been in charge of all the house duties (laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking). Granted, he has ALWAYS helped with these things. But this is the first time he's been on his own doing this. I don't know why I was nervous really, because he is amazing at anything he puts his mind to. The first month, we ate like kings. He kept within the food budget and made some amazing food (he made a new stew recipe that was better than any I've ever had!). He kept everything clean and laundered. He's just amazing, period.
I've been trying hard to keep up with my classes. It can get hard sometimes, because I never feel like I have enough time, but it's all worked out so far. On top of that, every other weekend I babysit overnight for a new family I was referred to by one of my school families. They are sweet as can be, and I am really enjoying getting to know their fun little family! As far as the fun stuff goes, here are a few highlights!

Dustin, Megan and I went to Sunsplash! Jr had to work (that's his excuse. He wouldn't have gone even if he wasn't working. He's not a water fan whatsoever!), but Dustin, Megan and I have been trying to go to Sunsplash for the last 3 summers, so we were excited to actually do it! We met some fun friends while there and went to Big Spoon afterwards. Dustin and I tried the new Double Dare which was not as scary as we expected!

Then, my birthday! I really should've written everything down, because I think I forgot a few of the details...so I'll just write what I remember off the top of my head. Jr took me to Benihana's the Friday before my birthday, because he's always wanted to take me there. We sat with a fun group of people and ate some yummy food. Next time, I'm bringing my own group of fun people though! I didn't realize you had to sit with other people! Saturday, Megan and Dustin took me to TGIFridays, where we ended up paying only $15 for the three of us, because for some reason the service was slow (which we didn't mind) and they felt horrible, so they gave us a discount. Then, the day of my birthday, Jr asked if we could go to Dustin and Megan's to go wash our comforter. To my knowledge, we were just planning on staying home and enjoying each other. So I said we might as well wash the comforter so we don't have to worry about it later. We went and hung out for a little bit, and then one by one, my family started showing up! To top that off, he got me an ice cream cake, which I've wanted since I was little! It's hard to beat that. A surprise party with my favorite people and ice cream cake! I'd say he kicked butt this birthday! To top it off, he gave me a shopping spree for my birthday present!
Two weekends after that, Megan, Cassidy and I went to El Dorado County's Teddy Bear Picnic for Ayla. This was Ayla's second year and she got a cute little teddy bear, and got to pet some fun animals!

After that, Megan and I went shopping. She needed a new dress because she was going to Vegas, so we went together and had fun trying on millions of dresses. This is something I suggest to all females! What a blast! It was fun getting dolled up!

The next weekend was Folsom Live! That's another thing that had been on our bucket list. Jr, per usual, got scheduled a pooey shift and couldn't go, so it was just Megan, Dustin and I. But we danced our butts off and had a blast!

Anyways...that was our September!
